Sales Executive (Fluent in French & Spanish)

The Sales Executive is responsible for identifying, contracting and activating quality, new budget accommodation properties on and partner sites within priority geographies (which may change over time in line with business requirements).

The role requires a fluent English, French and Spanish speaker. The person is also responsible for revenue targets relating to featured listings and other ancillary services.

Key Metrics:

  • # Properties activated (with availability) & revenue generated
  • Revenue Targets for featured listings
  • Ancillary Sales Targets (BE, BPO, etc.)

Reports to: Sales Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet sign up targets. Ensure balance of quality and quantity
  • Identify property gaps in our product and growth regions (within geographic area of responsibility) where there is demand for budget / independent product
  • Undertake analysis of property base and potential targets on competitor / travel review sites (within geographic area of responsibility)
  • Build and maintain database of target properties (including contacts made) within geographic region of responsibility
  • Proactively manage ancillary sales target leads and ensure targets are met
  • Proactively manage your sales leads to ensure that targets are met
  • Work with the Sales Manager to develop and implement sales strategy / processes to target properties (in designated region)
  • Instigate sales calls as primary method of contracting new properties
  • Participate in presentations to prospective customers as necessary
  • Research popular and emerging destinations within geographic region of responsibility, monitor bookings’ trends and communicate information to wider business. Keep up to date with new hostel/hotel openings from travel trade publications, magazines and newspapers
  • Provide initial training to new properties in order to activate them
  • Ensure that we have clear accurate, high quality and unique content and availability and rates before the property is assigned to the Account Executive
  • Liaise with the relevant Account Executive to ensure a co-coordinated and professional experience for the property as they are transitioned over
  • Represent the company at trade events or on sales trips as necessary
  • Generate (weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly) reports on sales activity
