Marketing Manager with additional EU Language


Job Description


The proposed role will suit an enthusiastic and energetic professional, entrepreneurial in nature, interested in setting the strategic agenda for the department, combined with the desire and ability to develop a robust platform to deliver against a commercially sound, client focused agenda. Pre requisites for the role include deep technical knowledge of investment funds, how they are managed and promoted, sound commercial business acumen, excellent relationship building skills, as well as the ability to manage and develop direct reports. The role requires a flexible, independent, self-starter with the ability to multi task, influence and deliver results in the face of competing demands and according to strict time constraints.



  • Responsible for constructing the marketing identity and articulating consistent messaging around our core capabilities with the aim of positioning Mediolanum as a leading cross border product and service provider in its markets of choice.
  • Develop, implement and manage a coordinated marketing & public relations strategy for Mediolanum Dublin Operations and Gamax to achieve the above stated objectives ensuring core messages are consistent but also specifically tailored for each target market.
  • Manage a small team of existing resources to provide on-going technical support (videography, sound, design etc.) to the broader business as well as a dedicated team of Investment Product Specialists to develop strategic marketing collateral and sales support for our existing sales channels.
  • Leverage adapt and supplement product collateral developed within the Investment Product Team to create engaging communication materials (flyers, adverts, brochures etc. ) in digital and hard copy format in order to develop and increase brand awareness through multiple channels (web, video, social media, PR etc.).
  • Manage the annual marketing budgets and relationships with 3rd party services providers / agencies, identifying KPI’s for monitoring performance, while ensuring internal and external resources are leveraged to provide maximum results.
  • Develop creative approaches and draw an individual inventiveness to identify potential new solutions to challenges and communicating these objectively for value creation in the area of sales and brand management.
  • Develop internal marketing product department controls, processes and procedures with a view towards promoting efficiencies and enhancing the overall service and control environment.
  • Co-ordinate and managing key sales events in Ireland, Italy, Germany and Spain.

Skills & Competencies

  • A personable individual with a commercial mind-set possessing strong relationship and people management skills with the ability to influence.
  • The ability to work independently and to distil investment information / concepts into easily digestible formats suitable for a retail target market
  • Strong project management and information technology skills
  • A creative approach with the ability to question the status quo
  • Fluent English is a requirement with fluency in one of the following additional European languages (Italian, Spanish or German) a distinct advantage


Qualifications & Experience

  • 7-10+ years of relevant work experience in the marketing /communications department of a cross border investment product provider, ideally retail focused.
  • A genuine interest in Investment markets coupled with the desire and aptitude to make a difference in connecting the business with underlying investors.
