The Role:

VMware Education Services design and provide training services on the company’s software solutions. Given the strategic nature of VMware in its customers’ datacenters and business it is crucial that our customers have the skills to get the very best out of the investment they make. Our Education Services ensures that customers are fully trained and certified and that VMware customers get the very best from their VMware investment. Education Services are the key enabler for VMware’s Software Defined Data Center (SDDC)

Our Education Inside Sales Representative’s (ISR) work within an assigned territory to sell training products and services to VMware’s customers. Our products offer training to our customers based solely on the VMware’s software solutions. You will position the value and need for training with each customer and align the customer’s needs with the Education catalogue of services.

You will be responsible for following up on sales leads based on campaigns and customers’ balance of credits. You will be responsible for developing your territory and work against sales targets. In addition to this you will receive contacts from sales campaigns to follow up on.

As a team we are responsible for selling over the phone, developing good rapport with customers quickly. We have a friendly demeanor as a team, coupled with an energetic sales acumen, which is imperative for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • You will achieve or exceed financial targets (revenue) for your regional education business
  • You will work with other sales facing groups in VMware to grow business opportunities
  • You will be working with the regional sales leads to support regional development plans
  • You will report back regularly on progress on your sales throughout each quarter

Required Experience & Skills:

  • You are fluent in both German OR French and English
  • You will have some experience of selling services, ideally within the IT industry
  • You have excellent numeracy skills to have the ability to work on forecasting and building spreadsheets
  • You are a results oriented individual, with a strong focus on execution and are comfortable managing multiple work related activities
  • You have a positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills and hold the highest level of integrity
  • You are an enthusiastic, high-energy and motivated individual who is visibly willing and able to learn

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Additional European languages are a distinct advantage.
  • Sales training, Siebel and Salesforce.com experience
