A Business Development Representative at BMC Software is responsible for the generation and assigning of high quality opportunities to the Field Sales Organization working in a fast paced, metrics driven, environment.

BDR’s collaborates with the Field Sales Team to build a territory plan in order to be a success driving revenue by connecting with customers and building opportunities that will make all parties more successful. This involves prospecting at C-level, VP and Director Level. Attending organized quarterly Sales and Technical training held by the BMC University Department.

University degree or relevant experience

Ability to uncover business pain and handle objections

Highly competitive streak

Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The experience You’ll Bring:

Proven track record of accomplishments and over-achievement of goals in software sales or IT Sales.

Working with a team-based model with Outside Rep and other resources for geographic region.

Outbound sales experience in a corporate environment desirable.

Negotiating skills is an advantage

Salesforce CRM experience

Experience with Strategic Selling

Proven success in penetrating new markets/verticals and developing new business

Proven record of accomplishment and over-achievement of goals

Working within a team-based model with Outside Rep and Tech Engineer for set geography.
